Kayla Carter (REU student from Mississippi State University), Diana Ramirez (UT Deparment of Microbiology GRA), and Dr. Tatiana Vishnivetskaya (CEB) presented posters at the Department of Microbiology Annual Retreat held at the UT Arboretum in Oak Ridge, TN. Kayla (mentored by Dr. Larry Millet and Diana Ramirez) presented her summer research project about bacteria and nematode interactions under different growth conditions. Diana presented a poster detailing the various environmental microbiology research projects in the Loeffler lab, and Tatiana presented her ongoing research about Arctic permafrost research ongoing at the CEB.
